Organised by the Peloponnisos newspaper and the Regional Policy Monitor, in collaboration with the Region of Western Greece and the University of Patras, the event also featured contributions from the Community4LivingAreas and Dialogue4LivingAreas initiatives, both comprising the Green Living Areas Mission.

A key highlight of the conference was the presentation by Marina Kouta from the University of Patras, who represented the Mission. Kouta’s presentation, which took place on 1 June 2024, focused on the mission’s primary goal of enhancing the quality of life for Mediterranean citizens through the development of green living areas. She outlined the mission’s two-fold strategy: fostering a community among thematic projects to facilitate resource transfer to stakeholders and promoting continuous policy improvement through dialogue among policymakers and stakeholders. Kouta also emphasised the importance of both technical and strategic content in building this community, as well as the need for ongoing policy transformation to achieve the mission’s objectives.
