On 11 JUNE 2026, the Spanish Territorial Antenna of the Interreg Euro-MED Green Living Areas Mission, coordinated by MedCities, EMEA and IREC, will organise a dedicated public session at Foro de las Ciudades in Madrid.
Entitled “Interreg Euro-MED Solutions for Greener, Healthier and More Resilient Cities”, the event will bring together representatives from 16 Interreg Euro-MED Thematic Projects, local and regional authorities, urban networks and territorial stakeholders to explore practical solutions tested across Mediterranean territories.
Participants will discover innovative tools, methodologies and pilot experiences addressing key urban challenges, including:
- Climate adaptation and nature-based solutions
- Sustainable mobility and urban logistics
- Energy transition and urban infrastructure
- Urban governance and planning tools
The session will combine institutional dialogue, a round table on local governance and urban networks, and participatory workshops designed to connect territorial needs with concrete solutions and transfer opportunities.
The event forms part of the Green Living Areas Mission’s efforts to strengthen the uptake and replication of Interreg Euro-MED solutions across Spanish territories and to foster collaboration between projects and public authorities.
