Betting on transferring: boosting your project’s long-term impact

We are pleased to invite you to a series of online training, the third one on finance, designed for all the thematic projects and stakeholders involved in the Interreg Euro-MED Programme. Each session is interactive, practical, and designed to build capacity for long-term impact.

The main 3 objectives  of the session: 

• To raise awareness about the necessity for the introduction of innovative and market-based financing models and instruments.
• To equip participants with knowledge and skills to identify and apply appropriate financing options for their projects and strategic plans.
• To strengthen participants’ understanding of alternative finance and link to capital markets, EU Taxonomy, ESG reporting, and investor trends in sustainable finance. 

The content of the training:

• Aims at bridging the climate finance gap through innovative and market-based financing models.
• Participants will understand the limitations of traditional financing and explore alternatives like PPPs, EPCs, and PPAs.
• Special focus is given to Green and Sustainability-Linked Bonds and their role in sustainable investments.
• Case studies from the Euro-MED area illustrate practical applications of alternative financing models.
• Participants gain tools to choose suitable financing options and navigate compliance with EU standards.
• Designed for policymakers, municipal finance officers, energy agencies, and project developers.
• Key takeaway: strategic knowledge to secure financing for climate neutrality and adaptation projects.
