We are pleased to invite you to a series of online training, the second one on policy, designed for all the thematic projects and stakeholders involved in the Interreg Euro-MED Programme. Each session is interactive, practical, and designed to build capacity for long-term impact.
The main 3 objectives of the session:
- Present and explain fundamental concepts for effective communication of sustainability policies to civil society.
- Empower policy-makers to understand target audiences, identify core communication risks in a sustainability policy, and craft messages that can effectively communicate sustainability policies.
- Provide a hands-on perspective, analysing practical cases and applying principles and tools to real-world policy instruments.
The content of the training:
- Focuses on how to effectively communicate sustainability policies to civil society.
- Participants will learn the fundamentals of policy communication, including framing, biases, and narrative tools.
- The session highlights risks in communication and equips policymakers to tailor messages to target audiences.
- Practical exercises allow participants to apply tools like metaphors and narrative arcs to real policy cases.
- The training emphasises the ethical dimension of communication and strategies to overcome resistance to change.
- Examples from Bologna, Barcelona, GR-eco Island, and public procurement cases will be used.
- Key takeaway: actionable skills to frame and deliver policies for better acceptance, uptake, and enforcement.
